After the Gap is a sequel to Closing to the Reactionary Gap. During CRG, participants learned about their naturally occurring automated response to stress (NOAR) as well as signs and symptoms of an imminent attack. The ultimate goal is to leave the situation before bad things happen. Well, what do I do if I don’t have the option to leave?
After the Gap teaches students how to tactically work through NOAR, his or her personal response characteristics and to identify, react and adapt to threatening situations while carrying a handgun.
Day one of this two-day course will be spent on the live fire range with emphasis being placed on NOAR tactics including: drawing from a holster, combat fundamentals, shooting under stress, and efficient vs effective shooting. Shooting Drills will be utilized to educated students on personal skill level versus the time needed to be effective as well as other environmental, psychological and physical factors that will affect the outcome of their shot. Day two will include reality-based training scenarios to implement the training.
